About 417
417 re-opened our doors in 2006. Once the Satsuma Tea Room, 417 Union has served Nashville's diners for nearly 80 years.
Owner, Anthony Leath, brings a touch of history back to Nashville and offers a diner feel with high class taste. Offering old fashioned fare like fish and chips, meat loaf, and fried chicken, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite to the downtown regulars.
Originally a Tea Room, later a meat and three, 417 Union was a favorite for the Nashville business professionals. It was not uncommon to run into judges, bankers, and and other business persons working in the 40's and 50's.
The motify is designed to bring you back to a time when a service man coming home brings his best gal to celebrate the end of the WWII.
417 Union has brought back the old style charm of this by gone era and also brings with it some of the best tasting food downtown.
