About 417

417 reopened their doors over 2 years ago. Once the Satsuma Tea Room, 417 Union has served Nashville's diners for nearly 80 years.

Owner, Anthony Leath, wanted to bring a touch of history back to Nashville and offer a diner feel with a high class taste. Offering old fashioned fare like fish and chips, meat loaf, and fried chicken, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite to the downtown regulars.

Originally a Tea Room, later a meat and three, 417 Union was a favorite for the Nashville business professionals. It was not uncommon to run into judges, bankers, and any other type of business person you might see working in the 40's and 50's.

417 Union has brought back the old style charm of this by gone era and also brings some of the best food downtown.
